That whole article is incredible, especially the first three pages where they're talking about their original design inspirations/goals and the transition from SF2WW to CE/HF. It's good to finally know who was responsible for making Street Fighter 2 special in the ways we care about.

What about Vega's Izuna Drop and Guy's Bushin flip grab? Maybe it's like those except with a terrible hitbox. What happens when you try it against Dhalsim's j.LP?

edit: Actually that might not prove anything if it doesn't work, because i doubt Dhalsim's throwable box extends with his limbs.

The only way to solve the disappearing barrels problem is to figure out exactly what u2b's framerate is, then encode locally at that framerate until you find a way to make the barrels look right (using frame blending settings or whatever in your editing program). Oh i just encoded an upscaled version for u2b that's 960x720 at 59.94 fps. There's no point in uploading that file anywhere because it's fake "high" quality. The 400x300 version is better for distributing, because watching it in full screen gives you the same result without the giant file ...

I think i fixed the missing smilies. I had to use phpBB's Support Toolkit to reparse BBCode, which took a while. Hopefully it didn't screw up anything else in the process. :geek:

No i think that's for adjusting turbo button speed. You can make it faster or slower to match the game. I haven't experimented with it though because i use program sequences for everything, even mashing.

Balrog has a bunch of easy ones because of Final TAP, but i found one without TAP too. If you look up "TZW Maxion" there's a few more in there. He released a newer one called "Maxion rev. B" which had even more non-dizzy TOD's, but i don't think that's available online anywhere. ...
