Does anyone remember playing this awful game? I had the misfortunate of experiencing it because one of my friends somehow got his parents to buy it for him as a kid. Luckily jjunior76 discovered a weird glitch that freezes opponents in place as they die to extreme rapid-fire.

RBFF2 Andy Choureppadan super squares off against Mai’s Cho Hissatsu Shinobibachi super. Real Bout Fatal Fury 2 is full of amazing sprite art, but the gameplay is fairly straightforward so most of these screenshots will be too.
While most players recognize Ed “Edma” Ma from his early success in SF4 tournaments and his 3rd-place finish at Evo2k9, he’s actually been a strong contender in several games for quite a few years now. He placed in top 8 in SF3:3S at EvoWest2k6, Evo2k7, and other majors.
Maj: Why did your interest in playing SF4 wane after placing third at Evo2k9? You were a regular at local tournaments a year ago, but lately it’s rare to see you at weeklies and ranbats.
Edma: My interest hasn’t waned at all. As far playing SSF4 and fighting games in general, I still enjoy playing a lot. Basically, before EVO09 I spent a lot of time getting good at SF4. And by a lot I mean, A LOT. It was almost like a second job that I enjoyed a lot.
At that point it was not a hobby anymore but a … goal so to speak. My goal was to learn SF4 inside and out and play as well as I possibly could; better than every game I have ever played. Which of course meant playing a lot. My outlook on the game was very serious (not in a bad way) and every time I played I was trying to learn. I haven’t looked at my SF4 console hours lately but I’m sure it easily went into the thousands and that doesn’t include all the hours I spent driving to AI or wherever before console SF4 came out.
Also, my secondary goals were to at least get top 8 at EVO (of course I wanted to win) and also qualify for SBO. So although I didn’t accomplish all my goals, I tried my hardest and was relatively happy.
If you happen to be a Ken player, it looks like today’s your lucky day. We have a second Super Street Fighter IV combo video starring Mr. Masters in less than twelve hours!

Since i posted that ghetto BBCS matchvid not too long ago, here’s a much better competitive match showcasing actual high-level BlazBlue Continuum Shift tournament play.
players: Zenmetsu (Litchi) vs Mike Z (Tager)
observations:
Apparently Litchi is one of Tager’s worst matchups and the video makes it pretty obvious why that’s the case. But somehow Mike Z is able to avoid Litchi’s obstacle course and find ways to land those command grabs on the constantly moving Zenmetsu. The commentators explain what’s going on most of the time, and it’s a pretty exciting match from beginning to end.
This was posted on SRK today, along with the story behind the unusual intro. While i didn’t see anything particularly groundbreaking in it, i have to admit it was pretty fun to watch.

This Super Street Fighter IV match is from an extended first-to-ten set which took place quite a while ago, but it has a couple very interesting moments randomly taking place.
players: Warahk (Guile) vs Tatsu (Vega)
observations:
These matches are well-played throughout, but the two crazy moments that stand out occur at 3:20 and 8:15. Vega’s blocked ultra2 continues pushing Guile during the startup of his ultra2, causing the Sonic Hurricane to whiff at 3:27. This might’ve been an interesting meaty setup under different circumstances. Then at 8:15, Guile’s backwards super tags Vega’s wall dive attempt, which leads to a Sonic Hurricane followup in the corner. Looks pretty awesome.
Here’s another excellent Capcom vs SNK 2 EX-Groove combo video, split up into three volumes. The first one focuses on K-Groove damage, the second expands to C-Groove and N-Groove, and the third one contains dizzy combos – most of which end up dealing 100% damage.
