SF3:3S Combo Movie Series by 538 / KYSG

From 2004 to 2006, KYSG released nine volumes of Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike combovids featuring ten characters. Every last one of them is an absolute masterpiece! I won’t even bother citing highlights because the list would be two pages long.

notes:
Keiko and i helped re-encode these specifically for 538’s u2b channel. Obviously they’re not true 720p quality, but they definitely look much better than the existing copies uploaded by random fools all over youtube. Please link to these versions when discussing these combos.

Cool job uploading the vids, I might DL those if they’re better quality than the original vids KYSG put on his site.
Also I find it rude to call them ‘random fools’, they were trying to at least provide the vids for those that didn’t get to see them the first time even if they had uploaded them when YT would re-encode vids to be of lesser quality than the originals.

Yeah i don’t like those people, sorry. If you really want to help the author and the community, find a way to contact the author directly and convince them to create their own u2b channel.

That way it might actually encourage them to release new videos, like it did with KYSG. Who knows, we might never have seen those Yang and Dudley videos if we hadn’t bugged him about starting a u2b channel.

When random fools upload other people’s videos, all it does is give the authors a negative impression of u2b and the fighting game community in general. That doesn’t help anyone (except other lazy fools).

Is good to see that now this masterpieces are in the place they belong, in 538’s channel, and i’m so glad that he’s having a lot of new subs because of this!

Gotta nitpick as a Mike Paradinas fan: the last musician is written as either “mu-Ziq” or “μ-Ziq”, with the Greek letter, as to be pronounced “music.” I don’t quite like that track so much, but if anyone is interested, check out the album “Lunatic Harness,” it’s fantastic.

One thing we really need is for someone to develop a near-fully-accurate English interpreter for Nico Nico Douga…that would really help us find some awesome videos and make contact with the producers (even if it would have to be in Japanese.) I still can’t figure out who did which videos, how (if possible) to contact them, etc.

“but they definitely look much better than the existing copies uploaded by random fools all over youtube”
XD oh Youtube… though it’s pure truth..

These some combo videos are just incomparable to anything..

  5. Woe Is You says:

Yeah, I think encoding them in high def was unnecessary.

I’ve been looking for some of those songs (esp. Elena’s combo video one) forever and can’t find them. Kind of a bummer, the songs are about as awesome as the actual combos.
