SSF4 126-Hit Chun Li Combo Challenge by desk

Here’s something you don’t see every day. A week ago, desk issued this combo challenge with a $50 bounty. Anyone who could replicate the exact Chun Li combo (containing 12 one frame links, 125 button inputs, 126 hits, 661 damage) would receive $50 in the e-mail.

Of course news spread through dozens of interwebs and even ended up on several major Japanese websites. With yesterday’s deadline passed, it seems nobody was able to answer the challenge. The closest response was 81 hits, submitted by Crowtwig. He was awarded the 2nd Prize of $20, and his recording was featured in desk’s wrap-up video.

Even though nobody was able to complete the challenge, or even break 100 hits for that matter, this was still a relatively successful experiment overall – considering desk’s original video surpassed 100,000 views. And he got to keep his $50!
