What do you do with your program pad?

Post by ShinjiGohan »

lol Besides making combos, what else have you found a use for it?

For me, Its become my own rerecordable dummy in games that don't natively support that feature.

Enabling me to program in a sequence of attacks that I sometimes have trouble with and figure out how to counter it.

Also allows me to figure out properties of moves. Like which counter works for this attack etc...

how about you?

Outside of fighting games i haven't been able to find much use for them. Most mainstream PS2 games require the analog thumbstick so they'll autopause with an error message if you try to plug in a ppad. It's too bad that nobody bothered to make a ppad for current consoles, or even for Dreamcast for that matter.

I don't have one, but if I did I would check the validity of option selects and tech-traps.
Looks like Jolly Ranchers & Baskin's Sherbet.
