IT AIN'T FLAVORMaj wrote: Nobody uses ShinSho in SFA3. It's there for flavor, like Alex's Spiral DDT.
but on a serious note, what about Fei Long's super in A3, the one that also only does good damage from precise spacing?
Pro players have amazing reads because they are reading properly a lot of the time, so even when it's a guess, the commentator thinks it's a read. At least, that's my take on it.Pokey86 wrote: Why do pro players always have "amazing reads" via commentators & never "lucky guess"?
Why do i really suck at MVC3 when i only kinda suck on SFIV?
Why do so many third strike players act so elitist? as if it's the most balanced game in the world.
MvC has always been a very different beast from the main SF series; it's faster, you use more of the screen space, the zoning is a totally different idea, and it's a 3v3 game.
We're elitists sometimes because Third Strike is, sometimes, a better game than anything ever.
...I'm only kidding. It's because some people think that 3rd Strike, being the end of a long line of SF games in the 90s, was the "pinnacle of fighting game design" or something, and some people blame its difficult accessibility for making SF3 not so popular; and since people think the lack of popularity was because other players "didn't get it," well...there you go. It's like people who don't like your favorite band are "STUPID KIDS WHO CAN'T APPRECIATE MUSIC THESE DAYS." It's a very different game from Alpha, SF2, SF4, and it was out way before SF4. More generally speaking, I think a lot of pre-millenial FG players will come off as elitist to the SF4 crowd.
Also hey Maj: why is Gigaton Blow any good? and which groove do you use the most (My guess is C)
