There were some people playing IaMP at Evo in the BYOC area so i took a photo for Xenozip and another one of the hotel event screen displaying the tournament schedule along with some random wedding anniversary announcement.

I know like 60% of you guys aren't going to Evo, but:

I'm pretty hype about the money match between Golden Nismor and Neo.

Since Wizard banned money matching, hevad might rent out his own ballroom for the money match -- or his own huge hotel suite where they can get hype.

And apparently it's worth like $80,000 now. Some EC poker players are betting 15k each and Hevad is taking on those bets.

Good ol' Marvel vs. Capcom 2.

Wow, that was pretty ballin'. Not owning your own sweatshop-ballin, but still.

Anyway, the basic premise is:

Neo from SoCal is a new MvC2 players (07ish), he's been doing high level money matches with people for the last few years.

GoldenNismor is og player from hawaii. He challenged Neo recently after seeing that Neo kept playing "New people who aren't that good"

Hevad likes gambling on MvC2 cause it's really hype. He backed Fanatiq for this 26k money match that happened a while ago. He is putting around 35k of his own money on the money match between neo and golden nismor.

Hevad is pretty serious about this, he said if evo really goes out of their way to not allow the money match, he'll just rent his own ballroom and have nothing but mvc2 money matches there. So ballin'.

What ended up happening with the MvC2 money match?

Well, all day friday and most of Saturday people were trying to get a hold of Golden Nismor. On Saturday while we were eating, preppy calls him and finds out that "He had just gotten back from vacation and was still in hawaii with 0 intention of showing up to Evo. So after relaying that info to Neo & Hevad, they dance around and get kind of upset and laugh that they got trolled so hard by him.

Eventually they settle on a 12k money match between Neo, Chunksta, Fanatiq & Chris S. versus Sanford in a first to 10 with crazy rules. Sanford lost and WC players got 1k each, hevad got the rest and strider0 made $300. This dude named "ryder" bet 100 on Sanford with someone from the WC but ran off after sanford lost.

I heard it first to 10 wins, but each of the WC players could only play 4 matches, win or lose. WC ended up winning 10-4.
