How can people hate 4 Rose reflects and the legendary onReload combo? It's just not possible.

You should have put at the end, "these combos were scripted, meaning they can't be done in this manner on the console version without buying a hard-to-find piece of hardware. please bring it to PC to watch what crazy shit we'll find and do."

Really nice video. I'm glad you included that funky Gouken crossup. And the way Chun's shouts and the background music blend at 0:40 is awesssome. Nice job including the weird non-crossup setup against Dhalsim too. That happened to me a bunch of times but it was too inconsistent to bother using that version, since i had to wait like 3 minutes per attempt with having to charge Final TAP.

Maj was going to get to this at some point so I ether saved him some time or ripped him off. Same as in his elf combo video but seth can get more focuses with it. I really like the setup, seth just barely jumps over sim but sim doing the ultra causes seth to wind up on the wrong side.
Haha it's all good dude. I'm happy to see it. Remember, the whole reason i started doing SF4 combovids is cuz Japan usually takes care of this stuff and they dropped the ball this time.

Yah I knew you wouldn't mind, I mean my first thought after seeing that combo and was that Seth could probably do it. Where are all the Japanese videos it doesn't seem like I've seen a single sf4 combo video from Japan? Do you get any Japanese watching yours? I think I have less then 300 Japanese hits on my sf4 ken ultra glitch video. There has to be a better way to share

I think they do watch them, but i don't know who or where "they" are. When i wrote back to that guy who had sent me a friend request calling him out on him having my Ryu vid on his account, he deleted it and wrote this:

With all respect, I didn't steal the your video. It's uploaded on a Private Japanese forum and I thought it's alright if I just upload that.I know it was very rude from me, and I deleted your video immediately. I hope you can forive me what I did and hopefully we can be friends in the future.
Also most of my vids get reposted on nicovideo. Even though they don't get very many views, you figure someone has to care enough (and have enough of an incentive) to go through the trouble of uploading them. The few Japanese SF4 combovids that have been stolen from nicovideo and reposted on u2b are ... okay, but not exactly great. They're still on top of finding relatively minor things like Chun/Abel infinites, but it's pretty tame compared to what it was in the past. No clue why.

Then again "Japan" has always been represented by one or two individuals per generation. So i guess it's not surprising that sooner or later, a game would slip through. It is somewhat surprising that it's SF4 considering how popular it is, but popularity is skewed in Japan because they even had a scene for Capcom Fighting Jam for a while.

The thing I noticed about the Japanese viewers is that there's a few guys like DARK and Desora who actively have accounts and will log in to view other people's videos. But for the most part youtube videos get embedded on random message boards and nobody actually logs in to view them. Hence most of the discussions and views don't even happen "on youtube". Then sometimes things get mirrored over to Nico, so you'd never know it got any views in JP unless you stumble across it there.

Japan plays everything, not necessarily very well, but you CAN find at least one arcade that carries any game you can think of and they DO have tournaments for it. That doesn't necessarily mean it's popular at all though, they will just give anything a go. I'm guessing SF4 is actually not popular at all, but everybody plays it anyway because it's new and it's SF. Though SSF4 may end up being more popular.

The doujin scene in JP is like this too, you might be surprised at how many HUGE tournaments they have for IaMP and think maybe it's a popular game with all the crazy stuff they do with that game, but then you take a closer look and realize the scene is basically very very small and there's absolutely zero flow of players (no new players, and the OGs don't quit).

Wow, if Japan has tourneys for all games past and present, where the hell are the tourneys for underrated games like Gem Fighters? Haha.

That's like the one game I haven't seen a tournament for, but I'm sure it's happened at least once.

You should see some of the games on soh85's channel. lol

Yeah, just trying to show him another incentive for releasing a PC version. Though i'm sure they've already made their decision - whatever it is. The problem is a lot of the "cool" stuff about a PC releases (homebrew costumes, moveswaps, engine deconstruction, etc.) aren't too appealing to any company concerned with protecting their character images.

Add piracy to the mix and suddenly it's damn near impossible to come up with a compelling argument for a PC rerelease of a successful console title.

Still worth a shot though. And ComboVid got around 100 hits out of it so that was nice. Haha i think i may have scored an extra twitter follower too.

nice, I just hate microsoft and don't have any reason to want to own a 360, other then ssf4 and mvc3. Piracy is a big problem now but I didn't hear them talk about skipping a 360 release because it has widespread piracy, and plenty of companies have figured out how. Besides if you pirate it you don't get the full game, sf4 you need to be logged on to gfwl to save or play online, and the main feature is online play.
I personally don't like playing 360 games ported to the PC, the interface is always screwed up because it's designed it be played with a pad and not a keyboard and mouse. I would be happy if they ported the arcade game, gave it away for free, and made us paypal them 50cents every time we played it. As big a problem as Piracy seems to be, I don't accept it as an excuse.

Capcom already said that they will make a PC version if they can come up with a way to make it really hard to pirate the game.

I believe it WOULD be profitable though. And with such high demand, I do think they'll release it. If they do, I will most likely get it. And. . . I'll PAY for it.

The question isn't whether PC SSF4 would be profitable. The question is whether SSF4 for Xbox360+PS3+PC would be more profitable than SSF4 for Xbox360+PS3. Capcom's fear is that PC piracy could hurt console sales.

And this goes into a policy issue too. If people know that there will always be a PC release, some of them will just say "Screw buying this game, i'll just wait until the PC version gets released/cracked. Free DLC!!"

Piracy hurts them in a lot of ways and compromises the value of DLC too.

Perhaps it's the reason why it was put off. They can make their console sales before the piracy issue is faced after the pc release.

Me too. I would very much like to have the game on PC. It'd be better for my capturing quality.
