Blanka may be able to coward crouch under it for free, or at least ultra or ex ranbow it avoid most of it

Maybe, I need to readjust my timing to get it to work on Blanka though, and right now I CBA lol

Going to try some other things and then I'll get back to it.

@Mienaikage : Yeah, I believe Desora had come to the same conclusion.

As of right now I believe Seth's is the best, followed by Sagat, followed by Rose.

It only seems to work on Sagat, Cammy and Blanka. Blanka has the slowest wakeup, Sagat and Cammy (lol) have the same amount of wakeup time, which happens to be the same amount of time Ken can execute all of his moves (I think, I haven't managed to do the Ultra too early against Sagat yet). Everyone else wakes up faster (but I don't know how much faster)
Try doing it on gen.

EDIT: I tested Seths unblockable on Guile now, standing and crouching is the same timing.

Yeah it doesn't matter about standing/crouching for Seth or Rose unblockables. It only matters for Ken.

Went through every character both standing and crouching with the same recording throughout, pretty sure Gen had a faster wakeup than Sagat.

Yeah, noticed now that Gen has normal wake-up speed.

I can confirm that: Fthrow -> LP Gohadoken -> Super/Ultra with akuma makes the Gohadoken unblockable. You can experiment futher with it if you want, maybe you can do HP Shakunetsu xx FADC -> Ultra to make the shaku unblockable. Maybe you can even follow up with a HP SRK afterwards. MAYBE you can do c.HK -> HP shaku xx Super.

What would happen if you cancelled the first hitting frame of one of Akumas normals with his ultra... would it hit?

I think it was doable in KOF98 with Iori wasn't it? It's not like the mechanics of the glitch are new or anything, it's appeared in other games like A2 and Vanguard Princess, it's just for SF4 it's a little weird.

I don't think the KoF unblockables ('98 -> '01 iirc) had anything to do with super freeze. They were done by whiffing a command grab or grab super which forced the opponent to drop their block. The other one involved people waking up into ground fireballs on a specific frame. Iori had a combo though where you could combo after the unblockable with Maiden Masher DM if it was at the correct range (p difficult to setup).

I've never heard about it in A2 though, how does it work in that?

Are all of these legit? I saw it yesterday and it seems like in some of the setups the fireball has hit the character before the ultra flash even starts?

I have some writeups on my blog that explains in a bit of detail:
- http://xenozipnotes.blogspot.com/2010/0 ... ables.html
- http://xenozipnotes.blogspot.com/2010/0 ... -seth.html

I excluded Ken for the most part because his only works on four characters, and two of those four characters can actually block it anyway, which means Ken's is only legit against two characters.

Rose backthrow and Seth backthrow setups are legit. Seth SPD and Sagat forward throw setups are only "semi-legit" since it's technically possible to block those after the flash, you just can't be holding block pre-flash or you'll be autohit the moment the flash starts.

mmm working with the Akuma´s air FB? Or with any EX FB? Maybe we can use the approach hability of the Akuma Ultra to, with the correct distance, continue the combo with the unblockable FB? air FB ->Ultra sHP is combo with Akuma... Maybe we can make this unblockable? Or something similar, using the MP FB or HP FB to adjust the full screen distance? You can use the EX tatsu to start it, but you can wake up fast from that movement...

You can probably do "c.HK... HP Shakunetsu xx super"

And you can not continue a combo after the unblockable fireball. Ultra/super have more active frames than fireballs have hit stun.

I'm sure it'll be possible to do -EX Air fb, Unblock ultra- at point blank and continue to combo after, as you've pushed the dummy into both fireballs during the raging demon dash. Tried it once or twice but timing of the EXfb is hella strict (or it's not possible, lol)... actually didn't try it on any wide characters, might be doable.

Also, that set up made me realise that you can push your opponent into a fireball during ultra freeze causing it to connect if they weren't blocking before hand. Probably has some funny applications with the characters who have extravagant ultra flash animations.

Also, doopliss, that vid made laugh out loud when it got to the seth set-ups, lol. I would really, really, reeeaally like to see a video of that reaction video with someone else's reaction over the top :D

Thanks, problem is that Seth is one of the more talkative characters, and he had a lot of fitting comments because of his "assimilate all" personality.

And I didn't think about EX air FB when I wrote that >.< shouldn't it work in the corner?

I'm attempting a new one for Ken via his back throw and a kara Ultra.

EDIT: Success!

Video coming soon. I'm silly for not recording while attempting it :(

And here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZfB5DRMsnk

If you want to try it yourself:
Turn off taunt
Back throw
QCF+LP (You can walk forward for a few frames before throwing out the Hadouken, it wasn't necessary for Ryu but it might be for some other characters)
FADC
QCFx2 F+HK~3P

Really tricky, but I just managed it with f.LK, I don't think f.HK is happening manually.

Couldn't you make it easier on your hands by initiating it during a projectile? (Like you do for the standard dash projectile.

I just found a corner-specific cross-up with Seth, but it will probably only work on really tall characters, like Sagat (confirmed) and Seth.
