-snip- - James I'm very glad that you brought up specifics, like KYSG. Yes, I absolutely feel there should be a disclaimer that the video is in fact tool assisted. If the content is displayed vaguely or without any information at all then I personally feel that it's very deceptive. I'm also a fan o...

I'm dying without a thread subscription feature. :(

I've become totally and thoroughly dependent on the subscription function on SRK. Eeep!

Hmmm... I believe a lot of 'the mass' can get the two confused. But that's because I know the general public's thought-depth is fairly shallow. I'm not saying that's the way it is, but I can see how it would be easy to assume that the general public would assume the wrong thing and/or get confused. ...

It's a shady subject IMO, but here's something you may (probably) or may not be aware of: thanks to -undisclosed source- some tools allow you to save states and "undo" to return to a previous frame position while still recording inputs. This allows you to re-try over and over until you get...

It's tool assisted. Meaning they were playing the game frame-by-frame. Literally pausing at each frame and inputting commands at each frame.

Boo.

Re: Basic Combo Video Etiquette

14) This should go without saying, but it comes up often enough that we're gonna say it. Make sure your combos actually combo. Also I'd like to add that if the game features a recovery function, then the opponent should recover whenever possible. I can't tell you how many SFA3 videos include combos...

Actually, I've found people generally have two reactions to super amazingly difficult execution. A) "Wow, that was amazing and they are my new hero. I want to x-copy that." -- and actually work harder. B) "Holy hell, I can't do that! That's bullshit!" -- and get discouraged. But ...

Thanks.

Yeah, TS covered those characters. Middlekick also covered R.Mika pretty well, too. And the confusion ones are actually all technically unblockable resets, not just "hard to block". I've been meaning to explain the hows and whys in detail but never got around to it.

I look at this forum as basically a centralized, group version of what we all do anyway: Hit each other up on AIM or whatever in the middle of the night and say "Yo, check this out." It's easier to post up here than wait all day for one of you guys to come on and look at what I'm doing an...

This thread title says introduce yourself, so I don't care - imma talk about myself. :B Hi. Yeah, like Thongboy said, I have done some SFA3 stuff in the past along with some other various things. I've done: SFA3 "Ticks and Tips" -- SFA3 "Guy Exhibition" -- I contributed to Ikusat...
