Re: Interesting Combo/Glitch/Tutorial Videos
Late posting this but i enjoyed watching this video: Street Fighter III 3rd Strike - Combo Exhibition Act.1 (TACV) by Mikazuki Been a while since i rewinded that much. Lots of really cool stuff in the first half, before it started to show a bunch of familiar KO combos. It's harder to do anything sty...

Re: Street Fighter 6 Combo Videos?
Yeah, desk makes pretty great day/week-one videos for every character. His editing is simple and clean, and he doesn't waste time getting to the point. I like that he throws in a few interesting exchanges and calls those videos "combos & hype" instead. That stuff isn't hard to theorycr...

Street Fighter 6 Combo Videos?
Is anyone making tool-assisted SF6 combos? I didn't have much luck searching for them. Is there just nothing challenging enough to require tool assistance? That'd be surprising because there's almost always some way to make setups more complicated. I guess it could happen if the limits are designed ...

Re: General Sports Discussion
How about that Barca retiree reunion tour in Miami? Not gonna lie, i was nervous about how it would go, but so far it's been kinda rad. Also i guess i never mentioned it at the time, but watching Argentina win the World Cup was incredible. I still can't believe it happened the way it did, on Messi's...

Re: Could we pull off a Fighting Game Comedy Video?
Haha that's pretty good. There's probably lots of ways to expand on it too. You know i think this thread is so old that "funny clip compilation" videos didn't really exist back then, but tbh it would be pretty hard to top those. There's a lot of footage being made daily, it doesn't have to...

Re: Got any Questions about SF3:NG, 2I, 3S, or 3SOE?
Before!? Is that the same with Chuns as well? Yes, which makes the whole thing a lot more impressive. that's a common misconception there is a two frame window after the super freeze that you can parry it's just easier to parry before it One more question. If you look at Evo Moment #37 clips, you c...

Re: Got any Questions about SF3:NG, 2I, 3S, or 3SOE?
Pretty funny reading some of the old mystery posts in this thread. I'm pretty sure "Progressive Hit Frame System" or whatever slick name they were trying to put on the back of the box just meant "more hitboxes that update every frame." Anyway two random questions that i never got...

Re: Creative Game Mod Experiments and Videos
This one's pretty old too, but these 8-player mods are surprisingly entertaining. https://youtube.com/watch?v=E9ZSAQk-_ig I like how in the middle of all that, two Sonic Booms managed to cancel each other out. Not sure if they're running on the old games themselves or Mugen, but i remember seeing so...

I tried following up on the mobile https redirect issue yesterday. The hosting tech support guy enabled some settings and told me to check back in an hour or two, but it doesn't seem to have worked. Anyway i can dig into it some more if anyone cares, just let me know.

Re: Dumb Video Idea: Maximum Spin Combos
If anyone wanted to expand on this, i think SF5 Vega or RT Dauntless could make good candidates. But like Shotos or Blanka wouldn't, because hitting while you're spinning doesn't really count. Or maybe spinning hits only count for bonus points, but you need multiple empty spins to be considered. All...

Dumb Video Idea: Maximum Spin Combos
Just saw the T8 Lars trailer, disappointing low amount of unnecessary spinning tbh. It got me thinking that i'd actually enjoy watching a Lars/Steve combo video that was optimized for spinning. Does this exist already? I couldn't find anything when i searched for 15 mins. I'd expect to see at least ...

Re: Interesting Combo/Glitch/Tutorial Videos
These SF2 bonus stage time attack vids from Arist_Leo are pretty interesting. Editing is a bit slow and some characters don't have much tech, but there's some fun stuff in here. I like how he manages to get someone dizzy haha. https://youtube.com/watch?v=9sFo7YHbLSQ https://youtube.com/watch?v=VP17B...

Oh damn, i knew it was a couple months because that's when i first contacted tech support, but i didn't know it'd been that long. Tbh i thought i'd have to hire a php developer to help me fix it. Just couldn't find time to look into it further until the holiday break. On the plus side, i think the f...

Re: Forum Feedback, Suggestions, Complaints, et cetera
Finally got the forum up and running again yesterday, and restored the familiar theme colors today. But i think some layout dimensions changed, so the logo gradient doesn't really match right anymore. If anyone wants to make a new one, i'm down to replace it. If there's more than one choice, maybe w...

Re: Could we pull off a Fighting Game Comedy Video?
Haha that's pretty good. I remember those moves being added in real time, back when SNK was making lots of games. She would get one more Shoto move every year, and they were more and more blatant ripoffs. Pretty gutsy!

Something about the combination of half-screen wakeup super and Kyo getting kicked in the head like that is pretty funny:

Re: USFIV: What Super/Ultras can you combo after?
I think 0 stun was definitely the right choice. I'm sure there would be a couple interesting combos otherwise, but a lot more solutions that would feel unsatisfying. As it was, the only combo that stood out as meh was the first Sakura one, where i guess the fireball technically connected after the s...

Re: USFIV: What Super/Ultras can you combo after?
Dude, incredible video! I really enjoyed the Dudley chip kill setup, the Seth vacuum stuff since using super cancels as projectile glue is always rad, that Sagat/Dhalsim U2 setup, all the Dee Jay juggles, and that crazy Hugo combo at the end. Balrog vs Dhalsim note made me laugh. Making Guile's U1 u...

Re: KOF XIV combo videos
Love that Andy combo at 0:51. Those invincibility frames in the middle of wall bounce are so random, but probably the most interesting feature of KoF14's combo system imo. Lots of advanced wall bounce meaty tricks going on in that Beni combo at 6:08 too. Daimon's face changing instantly during his u...

Re: Street Fighter IV: Volt Battle Protocol
That side switch juggle combo against Blanka was dope! It's so weird seeing those s.HK links too. Just seems so not-SF4 to repeat stuff like that, haha. Only reason i never made a Guy TACV is because he wasn't in Vanilla SF4. But yeah, he's a bit dry. I recorded some SSF4 Guy combos the first few we...

Re: Street Fighter IV: Volt Battle Protocol
Last combo was dope! I really liked the EX SBK juggle followups too. It's always cool to see the last hit connecting delayed like that. Though i was a bit sad that there wasn't a combo including both regular SBK and EX SBK. Seemed like it might be possible?

Re: USFIV: What Super/Ultras can you combo after?
I don't have much to add, but sounds like a cool idea for a video! I'm surprised there aren't more viable AA cases (especially with how high you can launch Dhalsim), but i guess a lot of these have ridiculous recovery. Hi everyone, it's been a while, thanks for renewing the boards again Maj! I thoug...

Re: Samurai Shodown
Yeah it's understandable, i had the same problem with SF4 sometimes. Personally i was more interested in setups than combos with some characters, but i found the videos were usually better received when they had a few longer combos starting from basic setups. As far as the blue screen, i'm sure ther...

Wow, what a crazy discovery. I like every combo that has an ultra or super in the middle, especially Dudley's and Ryu's. Also really like the Honda combo for some reason.

Re: Samurai Shodown
I liked the Genjuro triple fireball combo and the Haohmaru bait sequence that looked like it could happen in a real match. The setups in this video were a little more interesting than the first video, but the first one felt more like a combovid. I guess two-move combos that take a really long time b...

Re: Street Fighter IV: Volt Battle Protocol
That was really fun to watch. Lots of cool details, like whiffing upflame vs Guy. I liked the crossup combo against Vega a lot. It's just a cool-looking setup to see the jump happening so slowly, then having some technical benefit on top. That Honda combo is rad too. It's just so weird to see Honda ...

Anyone gonna be at NCR this month by any chance? Apparently i'm like 20 mins away from the venue, so if anyone needs a place to crash, i've got an open couch. Re: SNK Heroines
Thanks for the explanations. They're very clear! I rewatched your Leona video after you mentioned her and noticed you were using the double knee multiple times per combo, so i was wondering if each hit of that somehow counted separately against the juggle rules. It's strange that the second hit conn...
