You know, i actually feel bad about posting this, but it’s so much fun to watch. It’s just so unfairly cruel from beginning to end! There’s even a torture intermission between matches!

observations:
The entire second round starting from 0:33 onward is a lesson in extreme Shoto efficiency. Watson’s crossup j.HK, s.LK -> c.LK xx LP Shoryuken branches off into so many options that he can hurt you no matter how you defend. Guile doesn’t even have charge to Flash Kick after blocking the crossup. And if you’re anywhere near a corner, it leads into Ryu’s fireball corner trap. Trust me, that’s not someplace you want to be. And if the matches themselves weren’t painful enough, the dirty bonus stage segment alone fills the oldschool grime quota easily.

man, ryu was dirty in HF. i really liked how he won the first round, then they went to the bonus stage and hilarity ensued.
