Fun With Capcom Fighting Evolution by jchensor

We waited for a long time after CFE (aka Capcom Fighting Jam) was released to see if anyone would take up the combo making mantle for the game. When it became clear that nobody was interested, we decided to collaborate on this video – set for a Christmas 2004 release date.

highlights:
CFE Rose double Soul Reflect vs Hauzer at 0:25, Urien whiff Metallic Sphere cancel at 1:02, Alex retreating parries at 1:29, Adon Skill Exhibition at 1:59, surprise Aegis at 2:05, Ingrid counter combo at 3:11, coffin-dodging at 3:45, Rose CC OTG throw at 4:08, Kenji double command dash combo at 4:23, Guy air throw CC at 4:41, and Urien vs Kenji at 5:18

This was a really fun video to watch. I love all the silly crap in games like that (Ingrid dashing under Anakaris’s repeated sarcophagus drops was my favorite). Good music choices as well.

On the other hand, seeing those sprites and VA in action did make me froth at the mouth to play CvS2. (Speaking of sprites, LOL to Alpha Guy and Rose.)

I’m trying hard to resist the urge to ask you if this is MUGEN

In retrospect, i have no idea why we used Karin as the dummy for Guy’s air throw CC at 4:42. Those air throws will connect against almost any character, except the Darkstalkers characters who fall kind of flat.

In fact, Guy can juggle his ground super after his air throw without using CC at all. Basically only Guy’s F+LP+LK throw requires Karin as a specialized dummy in order to enable a followup. His neutral LP+LK throw, his air throw, and his Bushin flip all allow juggles against any opponent.
