SFxT Yoshimitsu/Raven Pandora Study by jadeshikonapan

Posted on March 11, 2012 by Maj

Self-proclaimed Tekken fan jadeshikonapan has been making tool-assisted Yoshimitsu and Raven combos to explore the combo system of Street Fighter X Tekken. He’s already released four installments with transcript notes included in each video, and three of them are still available on his channel. The most recent one focuses on Pandora sample combos. Somehow these videos have slipped under everyone’s radar, but hopefully that’ll change starting today.

highlights:
SFxT Raven cross-under tag at 0:35, Raven meterless corner Pandora transition at 0:55, and Yoshimitsu pushing buttons at 1:10

SFxT The Devil Within by Thousand Pounds

Posted on March 10, 2012 by Maj

If you’ve ever wanted to see a live-action Street Fighter movie focusing almost entirely on martial arts, this short film is a dream come true. You may have heard of Thousand Pounds Action Company from their intense ultra combo re-enactments, so it should come as no surprise that they’ve done such a great job with the fight scenes here.

notes:
Judging by the 350,000 (well-deserved) views this short film has received, i’m guessing just about everyone who reads this website has already watched it. I’m posting it anyway, because anything of this quality deserves to be supported. Hopefully we’ll see a sequel soon!

Here’s an interesting Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 video focusing on unique Nemesis/Captain America team combinations. It’s pretty impressive how much damage ogre Killer is able to draw from a single Nemesis throw, without using much meter at all.

Continue? Episode 7 by Chubby Boy Films

Posted on March 6, 2012 by Maj

Sadly, the Matador fundraising campaign wasn’t a success, as some of you might have noticed. The third episode of Continue? is basically Greg and Brett’s reaction to the end of that venture, but it’s good to see them taking the news in stride.

Seriously though, Matador would’ve been awesome! You guys don’t know what you passed up, but i suppose it wasn’t meant to be. I can only hope that Chubby Boy Productions gets an opportunity to make the film a reality someday, because the script they showed me was outstanding.

If you’re enjoying this series and want it to continue beyond 10 episodes, please take a minute to show your support by subscribing to their u2b channel or following @ChubbyBoyFilms on twitter.

SFxT Combos by Maximilian

Posted on March 5, 2012 by Maj

Obviously this isn’t a true day-zero combovid, or even a week-one video, because Maximilian has had access to Street Fighter X Tekken for quite some time. But it is one of the more interesting SFxT videos available at the moment, so it’s definitely worth watching.

highlights:
SFxT Yoshimitsu/Jin pushing buttons at 0:08, Jin pushing buttons solo at 0:24, Ken triple EX Hurricane Kick at 0:39, and Jin/Kazuya tag OTG at 1:11

NKI Combo Video Archive

Posted on February 28, 2012 by Maj

When i first found the fighting game community, before i started making combovids of my own, NKI had already established a name for himself as one of the best combo makers in America. Most of his videos are absolute classics in my mind, especially his SFA2 material and his later works.

NKI Volume I (SF2, SSF2T, MK, MK2, UMK3, MKT, SFA2, XSF, etc.)

NKI Volume II (Revised) (SSF2T, SFA3, XSF)

NKI Volume III (XSF)

NKI Volume IV (SSF2T)

NKI Volume V | NKI Volume 5.5 (SSF2T)

NKI Volume VI (SFA2)

NKI Volume VII (Evo 2004 Special (SF2CE, SSF2, SSF2T, SFA2, XSF, MvC, MvC2)

NKI Volume VIII (Evo 2005 Special) (MvC)

NKI Volume IX (Evo 2006 Special) (SSF2T)

NKI Volume X (Evo 2007 Special) | NKI Volume X (Clean Edit) (SSF2T)

NKI Volume XI (Evo 2008 Special) (XSF)

If you’re short on time, i recommend watching Volumes 6, 10, and 11 to decide whether you want to watch the rest right away, or only seven or eight more. (If anyone cares, i believe they were all manually executed except Volume 11, and maybe a few clips in Volume 9.)
