Its still vista ugly, and I hate how clicking on a thread doesn't take me to the last page I read... maybe there is an option I need to check..

But otherwise whatever its a forum and I figured out how to use it just fine.

Don't worry guys, i'll install some alternative layouts as soon as they become available. I check every couple of days but there haven't been any validated phpBB 3.0.x styles posted yet. Sorry about the inconveniences and the "vista ugliness," haha.

I added SC2 and XvSF char select screens to older posts in the thread (didn't want to make a new post). Also slightly modified the GGXX#R and SSF2T ones. Slightly.

In all fairness, there are some cool things you can do now.

If you want to link to a specific post in a thread, you can right-click on the little page icon to the left of the "by (username)" text under the title then click Copy Shortcut from the pop-up menu (assuming you're using Windows).

You can quote multiple posts while replying by scrolling down to the Topic Review area and clicking the appropriate Quote icons.

When checking Private Messages, you get a complete Message History for reference. But keep in mind that deleting older messages makes them disappear from the Message History as well.

You can save post drafts to edit or submit at a later date, in case someone ever comes up with a use for this feature.

I think it's actually cool that the "newness" of posts doesn't go away based on login time. There's a Mark topics read link at the top of each forum that you can use to clear out the red icons. But most people don't have time to look through every new post in one sitting every time, so the new standard is convenient for whenever you only have 20 minutes to kill.

Still can't find any officially approved phpBB3 styles, but i did install subsilver2. It should be selectable from your User Control Panel under the Board preferences tab. It's different from the phpBB2 version, so i'm going to continue using prosilver, but at least there's a choice now.

I really like the new skin just cause the posters' names are on the left side instead of the right. Sorry but all my years on the internet taught me the person's name goes on the left side.

As for the point of this post: I was going to mention how this place needs a little bit of cleaning up. There's a lot of information and threads I think could be merged. I know you don't like deleting stuff, Maj, but maybe James Chen does, lol. I'll cirscemvent (the ole reach around) your authority and ask Team Member jchensor about it. Despite the amount of power of persuasion you have due to your rugged good looks, I'm still under the idea that some of the stuff here could be deleted for the better. However, I don't want to do it either, so maybe looking into how we can create topics of scattered info and put them into the Resources and Guides will be more helpful. I don't want to do any work, not 'cause I'm mexican but because I'm not sure if people are even interested in cleaning up the place.

I don't disagree. At the same, i don't think there's nearly enough information here yet to worry about organizing it. Most of the active members know their way around and read damn near every thread anyway. I mean, when we reach our 50th challenge, i'll make a forum for that. Until then, who cares?

It's better to let it grow organically. This is a discussion forum, not a scientific reference compendium. The best time to reorganize a forum is right before it becomes a serious problem. If i make it a priority prematurely, i might end up stifling the atmosphere with too many rules. Plus i'm busy. Everyone here is way too talented to waste their time moving around threads and indexing information.

Yeah man, don't worry about it. I'll take care of it before it gets out of hand. Focus on creating new content; leave the upkeep to me.

I tried but my last two attempts got no love. I'll try to diversify the games a little more. Any requests/suggestions?

Well The x-men cota thing would have required me to learn a whole new game which is fine, but I didn't have time. And after toxy basically brought an idea I had been bouncing around into fruition very quickly I gave up on finding another one for the other challenge. : ( I will try again if you come up with another one.

I understand, but there are other ways to approach the ST challenge. In fact one of them is so simple, everyone's gonna be saying "Why didn't i think of that?" if i post it.

Multi-game ideas would be cool. maybe: PLEASE MAJESTROS CHALLENGE: Perform a combo using both Guiles or Guile vs Bison or something weird.

uh, but yeah seriously, the best thing at this point is to include one for all games, not sure how you'll do it for snk/tekken/gg(lolollololol) tho.

maybe puzzles? provide an ss(screenshot) of something weird in a game and have people try to figure it out. *shrug*

Hey Xeno, would you mind spreading out some of your character select screens so that it's only two per post? (Or three, if absolutely necessary.) I think the first page of that thread currently burns through like 3MB of bandwidth every time i want to check the SFA3 roster.

New default forum skin. It's called "sonicboom" and it's got the old logo icon with all the setup projectiles. If you don't like it, you can change it back to prosilver/subsilver2 from User Control Panel -> Board Preferences -> My board style.

Buttermaker wanted the popular topics scrolling animated gif disabled and it was kinda useless so i did. Normally it would be activated after 25 posts in a thread but i never even noticed it so i doubt anyone's gonna miss it.

Then the question is, which one of us are you now mortal enemies with? Because you know, he started it. I know it's customary to kill the messenger in these situations but i hereby petition for an exception.

Over 9000?! Thanks guys, i couldn't have done it without you.

Okay that's not true. Theoretically i could have, but at this pace it would've taken me until February of 2016, and i would have to laugh at all my own jokes which might've seemed forced.
