Um, sure. I'm down to post it on Sonic Hurricane like this. That's another "Vol. 1" without a "Vol. 2" so it'll give me an excuse to tie up another loose end.

If you include the ComboVid logo somewhere in your video, i'll post it on ComboVid as well.

Could you send me the logo? I assume you have it with transparent background. I'll wait a month or so though, to let your challenge take it's time. I need to think about now to make the challenge video appealing too. I don't want to copy your style :P

Here you go. (Courtesy of Keiko.) Free free to increase/decrease the stroke width or drop shadow as you see fit.

No rush and no worries about "copying my style." It's pretty basic anyway.

What I meant was that I like to do stuff my own way. I have some interesting ideas already. And thanks for the logo.

Still planning on doing this? Someone on u2b was requesting a new challenge.

Yeah, but I've been kind of busy lately. I'll throw something quick together this weekend.

Dang it, this completely slipped my mind. Maybe this weekend, but then again, I might be too busy with MvC3, seeing as it's released on friday here.

That's okay, i just want to post another Challenge Roundup next week. So if you get it done by next Friday, then i'll include yours on Sonic Hurricane as well as posting it on ComboVid. If not, then i'll fill the spot with something else and just post yours on ComboVid whenever it's ready.

I have a challenge too. It may be dumb, but it's called, landing a taunt during a combo. No dizzies and no crumbles.

you mean comboing a taunt or using a taunt in the middle of a combo?

Okay, I thought it out.

I will prize the most creative solution with art work of a character of their choice(18"X24"). The entree must be very creative, but of course I'll have difficulty lenience. There will be a normal mode, which will allow Focus attack crumbling(Not the first hit), but not dizzying, and in Hard mode there will be no crumbling or dizzies. The taunt has to be between at least 2 moves. one before and one after. I expect dhalsim combos first. lol. But yeah, for real. I already have the video in the works for the challenge. and I think the prize is pretty neat. I'll post some of my work to show the quality. The artwork can be of any character from either SSf4, MK9, or MvC3, and safe for work!

Mr. Maj, do you like the idea?

Edit*
Okay, I just finished the video. Hope you guys like it! I'll link it when it's ready.

Edit2*

OKay, here it is!

Nice. I noticed it got posted on SRK already. I'll include it in the Sonic Hurricane post next Friday too, unless the deadline will have passed by then? In any case, good luck getting interesting responses.

I've gotten 17 responses so far. 3 of which I'm very much liking. The deadline will go through February and probably end after the end of the first week of March. And the prize I think is pretty cool! Idk how easy it'll be to mail a rolled up paper across to like Europe or something, but I'll do my best.

I'm guessing canceled taunts don't count.

What do you mean cancelled taunts?

Well, I should double-check, but it should be possible to Kara cancel taunts into PPP/KKK moves. It's also well known that Dan's super taunt will ultra cancel. (I'm figuring that interrupts are legal.)

The only moves that have higher input priority than taunts are Gen's style changes and Dan's Super Taunt.

Oh, interesting idea Rufus. lol, I wonder if the taunt would even be noticeable.

Huh. I'd have expected Ultras, possibly EX moves, the teleports, and Blanka's hop.
Edit:
Tested guile's ultra and Blanka's hop. Neither will Kara-cancel the normal taunts.
However the 'ducking taunts' (Dan's, Shades of Glory, Fake Bad Stone, and Victory Rose) and Dan's jumping taunt can all be kara cancelled. It's not very visible.

Submitted one using an easy old find (in Vanilla, hope that's OK), 'cause I noticed most people are going the crumple route. I was thinking of making my life harder with some Ken jugglage but I like the way this came out. Apologies for slowdown and j-core music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCW1W1zUULQ

Doesn't the Victory Rose count in combos?

Rufus, that made me laugh. but yeah, it counts. Onreload, I loved that seth combo. I'll accept it. I should have posted a rule that Vanilla was allowed. Sense it's got better set ups like that one. Well, so far I have 23 entrees. It's looking pretty good.

I'll do something better than that. I was just surprised that it gave me a combo count of 3 for 3 jabs + the rose.

Yeah, I never thought of that. it's pretty crazy how Maj did the inverse, as in like Ryu's Super, interrupted to U2, but one, me, never thought of interrupting dudley's ability to continue an already started combo with his own taunt. great thinking, Rufus!

By the way, DrGamez hit my Creativity G spot with this. Although it doesn't qualify, I'm gonna prize him for most creative shit ever!

So I just made that darn challenge video. I put the combovid logo there because I remembered you asked me to, but on 2nd thought, that request might not have been up-to-date... Well, apparently I can't put a linking annotation on it, linking to the site, so blah. I know you could do that before though. And could someone submit a RSFx9 to super combo so I don't have to mention it's possible? XD

Yeah that was so long ago, i don't even remember what i had in mind. I think i just imagined showing it briefly in the beginning like, "ComboVid presents" or "in association with ComboVid" or something like that. Anyway thanks, i appreciate it.

Note to self: NEVER POST SOMETHING LIKE THIS RIGHT BEFORE BED. My head was filled with combos the entire night, didn't sleep for a second, work starts in less than 2 hour... great.

I've got this one handy, though it's not obvious that the meter limits are obeyed because I've got full meter on.
