typical u2b, if your are going to ban something you need to give an error message when you try it, or else how is anyone going to know

Haha i don't think it matters. Somehow i doubt anyone's gonna see a wall of annotation links and obsessively click on every single one individually, especially since you can't even right-click to open them in a new window. Appreciate the gesture though.

Yet another example of u2b being exploitative bastards: There's no silent track in the AudioSwap directory. If they really wanted to clean up their copyright issues, you'd think they'd offer a simple way to remove Content ID tracks without forcing people to delete those videos.

But no, you can't simply mute your video with a silent audio track. You're forced to choose another copyrighted track which then can't be removed, and permanently deletes your original audio in the process.

I have four Content ID matches on my channel, from when i uploaded the 2HitCombo video in three parts (1 2 3) before they lifted their 15-minute limit. I'm hesitant to delete them because of losing all those comments, but guess there's no other choice.

They're already private, but that doesn't remove Content ID match from the account.

edit: Whatever, i deleted 'em.

Gameplay footage etc. Seriously, these rules are quite stupid. It has stuff like:

"You can use a song written and recorded by your friend if you have a written concent from them that say you're allowed to make money from it".

Hell, not even a video where you SING a copyright-protected song qualifies.

yeah but even if you have written consent, you have no way to show it to them so you still can't use it

Exactly. The thing's just stupid, I'm not gonna be a part of it. Besides, If I approve, they might remove all my videos if I read it correctly, since they are not my original content.

I've never heard of them removing videos for that. Seems like an idle threat, or maybe an artifact from an old policy. They'll just reject your application and send you a nonsensical form letter "explaining" why. You're right though, it's a complete waste of time.

Interestingly enough, I got the same invitation. I don't think any of my videos qualify, but apparently Google Adsense accepted my application. I dunno, since my vids are pretty much all gameplay, I doubt I'll see anything, but I've seen other game vids with ads on them, so who knows?

Just wondering... does everything on youtube automatically get 2 disklikes at the same time the viewcount gets stuck at ~300 views? It seems like every video has exactly 2 dislikes for a fair while...

you must have two subscribers who hate everything you make
I have recent videos with no dislikes

I think a lot of dislikes are just from slippery fingers, beacuse you can't take them back, I know I've done that a few times

For a while i had 1 dislike within the first 20 dislikes of every video i released. Just assumed it was one of the eventhubs henchmen subscribed to my channel, but it was funny more than anything else. Actually i'm really surprised that Damage v.two is up to 188 likes with 0 dislikes. That's really rare, for no other reason than the internet being exceedingly proud of its natural hater quota.

Yes, there are so many people who just dislike because something has 0 dislikes.

Anybody else just get the new YT layout? I absolutely hate it, as it makes following your subscriptions extremely difficult. Ugh, I really hope this isn't permanent...

Well, I don't think it's permanent, it'll just be there until the next time YT decides to make their website uglier.

For some reason, I can no longer watch embedded youtube videos using firefox... EXCEPT for the videos on combovid. I've tried installing an older version of FF, doesn't help. Other people say it works for them just fine, so... wtf?

This happened to me once and it was because I'd accidentally ad-blocked something important for Youtube embedding while attempting to block some kind of ad or script on another site.

Thing is, I tried disabling adblocker, without success.
