Looks like Street Fighter Devotion has been relaunched. As a database of random SF-related merchandise, it's pretty cool. Never knew that Skullomania was in PS1 Fighter Maker.

However, the real reason i bring it up is cuz of this dope SF EX illustration commissioned by SFD.

I don't. Blip downloaded that ages ago and I never bothered watching it. I also bought the first game and never played it.

Yup, it's true. I bet some of you guys didn't believe me but something like that is impossible to make up.

Also, that Kratos vid is awesome if only because the guy glued GoW posters on his kitchen cabinets on both sides of his microwave. I don't want to see what his other rooms look like, but i imagine by the time GoW3 comes around, he'll have completed the Sistine Chapel of fanboy Kratos love.

This has absolutely nothing to do with anything, but oh my good god this clip is so hype.

- Washizu's Ron

Quick fyi in case anyone cares: It's from Akagi. It is not a mahjong anime, although in that clip they are playing mahjong. Kaiji is the new series by the same person and is still running. As far as I know, it's a gambling-themed anime that delves into all forms of gambling, I'd recommend googling up a wiki for more details if you're interested.

Well, it's certainly intense. Nobody can dispute that fact. Which guy are we supposed to be rooting for though? The one who won seemed all sorts of shady.

He didn't actually win. Mahjong is really complicated. There are approximately eleventy-billion obscure rules, and one of them is pulled out to thwart him about half a second after the clip ends.

Haha that's pretty clever. I like the old timey film stock sepia filter, plus he put some effort into syncing it with the music.

Speaking of clever ...

Our good pal Rithli from http://chloe4am.net/ made this:
D:< (Rithli edition)

And in response, I made this:
D:< (Xenozip edition)

And I wanted to share them with people who might appreciate the meme spawned from the SF cartoon. Enjoy!

Be sure to check out Rithli's chloe4am site linked above too, it's really cool.

Yeah, ok, we need some stories asap. Who is the girl in the first banner? Did you take all those photos yourself? Is that story about 'chloe4AM' true? If so, then why did you name your website after them? Are you trying to draw their attention?

On an unrelated note, a clip from quite possibly the most awesome movie ever filmed or imagined:

Ninja: Silent Assassin - final battle

I love how it ends. They're all like, "well, we can't top that. good bye."

Or maybe it was, "alright we're out of money. thanks for watching." Either way, Awesome.

I watched a few of those kinds of segments recently. But not quuiiite on that level.

Fight scene from "The Human Tornado" (1976)
- I wish he was a fighting game character. Voice samples and all.

Brilliant fight scene from 'Undefeatable'
- The quotes at the very end. Must see.

Mark of Zorro Don Diego de la Vega vs. Captain Pasquale
- This one's actually semi-serious business. But I found it hilarious anyway, especially when they had swords locked and one guy moved his guard then basically just shoved the other guy off, haha.

Best Scenes From "The Wicker Man"
- If you've never seen this, you have to.

I am fucking with YouTube for fun.

- AoSX: HQ Video 1

- AoSX: HQ Video 2

- BBB: Video test

It's a really very simple "loophole" that is technically legit (no illegitimate editing/spoofing at all).

Also, random: Ninja Entry.

So, as I'm bumbling around the interwebs, I found this:

Holy ****, Xenozip.! I'm blown away by the effort that must've all taken.

Yeah, it's a Russian mirror of this:

Which is actually currently this.

and this:

But see, what they did not mention is that the sprites were extracted using a hack program made by blip. All I did was compile the packs by using the hack. But naturally my name is in the old URL so they put my name all over it and not blip's. The amount of sprite rips I completed by manual means was pathetic, and blip stepped in and produced the hack to save me the trouble of doing things manually (what a nice guy), and then I used the hack to compiles some basic packs. The hack and it's source are on the original site.

As for the slash sites, I don't know where those are from. Possibly some one found a way to decode or emulate one of the console versions or something.

Wow, all my efforts and experimentation for high quality video just got blown out of the water today... thanks youtube.

It appears youtube has started implementing h264 stuff.

After uploading a 480x360 video with high bitrate youtube will split it into three streams. The HQ stream appears to be 900kbps, while the normal/low quality stream appears to be 300kbps, and I'm assuming the medium stream will be somewhere in between.

Thus, high quality videos on youtube. Technically variable quality.

Well I have to say it's about time. At least I don't have to do any extra steps anymore in the future (assuming they stick with this new format). And at least I didn't spend an excessive amount of time fucking with youtube before this happened.

Here's an example :
- HQ stream, 1F Graze Test (Xvid, short file)
- LQ stream, 1F Graze Test (Xvid, short file)

You'll notice those are the same url strings, the only difference is the &fmt=#.
