the problem is he doesn't have a slow fireball, and his ultra is closer to sakura's in the way it works, in that a fireball won't knock them out of it. If you could some how get ahead of a fireball with him it might work. I couldn't get it to work with Rose but I feel that it may be a matter of timing.

Maj i dont think that seth can to that glitch mid combo.I did it in my combo vid using a setup to get akuma to 800 stun, but mid combo i dont see it.Seth can ALMOS fa lvl 2 backdash sonic boom ~ Ultra, but not quite, so even if you could get the opponent to like 10 points from stun you couldnt set up the stun glitch mid combo.I dunno.Just my point of view.

I need someones help with this. I'm trying to juggle with LK tiger shot after Sagats backthrow, but there's no simple set-up for it. I think you might be able to get ahead of your fireball by doing LK tigershot FADC f.HK kara EX TK once or twice while the opponent is jumping backwards, so that you end up behind him and can throw him in the direction the LK tiger shot is heading before it passes Sagat and the opponent. Then he might be able to juggle. But I can't do it myself with only one controller. Could someone try this with a script and see if it works? You can probably set this up with Normal/Air yoga teleport somehow.
The fact that Dhalsim can't backthrow into ultra might be a special precausion on capcoms part, but I don't think they thought about it the same way with Sagat.

Interesting idea but usually neither character has hitboxes until he fully recorvers or gets up in the opponents case.It'd be extremely awesome if this works.Hmm...Lets put that record function to the test

You should probably try it at Dhalsim, but Bison might also work. I managed to do f.HK kara EX TK 3 times to get behind Bison, but I might have been to close to the edge of the screen. The reason I want to try this with Sagat and not, for example, Rose, is because LK tiger shot can juggle, and backthrow only hits once, which should mean that if it whiffs, it has nothing to do with juggle limits.

scripting it would be a lot of work, but worth doing if there was a reason to think it was possible. Here, this is an easier method.

Yes, kick tiger shot was the key to this, as it has juggle properties, and punch TS doesn't.

Ok good to know then D: because I was hoping you could do something like this in SSFIV with Rose:
BnB xx HP reflect xx FADC xx Ultra 2 activate -> Soul throw -> Ultra 2 connects on the way down -> Another soul throw?

well if soul throw can juggle at all in ssf4 it means it's not a true throw so there is no telling

Btw, Sagat has kind of a cool-looking wavedash which costs a lot of meter and doesn't give you much:

Someone with macros should try this, as it seems after an EX tandem trade, seth cannot get a reversal.I mean i mashed every move as hard as humanly possible and the reversal message didnt not appear.It's true that for the trade setup EX tandem was reversal, but the reversal message doesnt refresh or anything.It disappears like 0.2 seconds after doing the second reversal.

nice setup, akuma can already do air fb, ex air fb, lv.2 focus. Wonder if there is a way to use it with ex hk to keep them grounded.

Maybe if you do EX tatsu from max range, and when the zankuu hits to put the out of the range, as although it hits them in the back, it pushes them back.

pffft. Ok, so from this video I learned you can ex FA an empty f+HK. And also building off that, that ex FA's do not have armor.

I didn't think you could focus cancel anything on whiff, I always assumed it was hit/block or fireball only.

You can't cancel on a whiff, that was more of a kara ex focus because Sagat can cancel the start-up of his f+k moves. You can't actually cancel them on hit. Honda's overhead and vipers far hk are examples of other moves that can only be canceled during the start-up

That's Honda's overhead that they've referred to, sir. It's a fun taunt but yeah it's hard to know it's an overhead considering how slow it is

Oh, thought they said Hondas and Vipers far s.HP. I think Hondas far s.HP can be FADCd on start-up as well.
EDIT: Nope, only Hondas df.HK can be FADCd on start up, and only Vipers far s.HP can be FADCd on start-up.
