It's not *that* hard, and I don't know frame data, but doesn't Tiger Uppercut have more impact freeze than Shienkyaku? and do we know Angry Scar's recovery time?

...but if someone just "hears that it's super cancelable" then...well c'mon now. wait for videos or the game itself, THEN yell at sagat

Well, it surely recovers faster than a FADC, as you can see in that video when he does c.MP xx Angry scar -> c.LK or something.

And I can do shienkyaku xx super on a good day :P

I didnt just hear that is super cancelable.Alioune, the guy who made those SSF4 combos, said this: "i will test something else next time . St hk (counter hit) > angry scar > ultra on standing opponent " .This means that either angry scar is considered a super cancel (most likely), or that standing roundhouse is special cancelable now (no way).That also shows that angry scar does indeed grant alot of frame advantage, and that stuff like cr.mp xx Angry Scar ~ cr.mp may be possible.

Also, if it really is super cancel, screw TU xx Angry Scar ~ U1. TU xx Angry Scar ~ TU xx Angry Scar ~ U1 FTW.

It' not that hard, TU is kinda slow. Alhthough, I have never been able to do ultra after EX TU when it juggled someone.

Angry scar has less recovery than FADC, so it actually might work now. Time will tell.

Also if you buffer SRK you have more time to input another motion


say Dash -> SRK -> Scar -> Dash -> SRK -> Scar -> Dash -> SRK -> Scar -> Dash -> SRK

That is presuming that Scarred SRK has a JP of 4+ :P not likely

Unfortunately the build in use was some sort of demo build, which only had versus, no training available, so unfortunately I got to try a lot less than I thought I would have been able to.

Unless I managed to mess up every single time, Seth seems to be unable to ultra while a sonic boom is on the screen now. Goodbye Seth unblockable.

I don't think Seth has had any juggle potential added to his moves, I tried SRK and I tried EX Sonic Boom. No luck getting those to connect.

I didn't have time to try out Seth's 2nd Ultra :(

Way. Angry Scar seems to be a special cancel not a super cancel. You can indeed special cancel the standing roundhouse. You can do s.HK xx AS -> TU xx FADC -> f+HK -> Ultra.
Angry Scar input was QCBx2+P

Ryu's HP SRK (and I assume MP SRK) has juggle potential. Metsu SRK appears to have similar properties to Ken's Shinryuken in that you don't get the full Ultra unless the opponent is in float.

I couldn't link AA lk Tomahawk Buster to Ultra.

Honda's U2 was 720+PPP.

Makoto can kara her regular throw, her command throw, her overhead, her dash punch etc. Basically she can kara almost everything off of f+lk.

Dee Jay can link c.lp into c.mk for an untechable knockdown. When using him I pretty much abused light chains into it :P. His Ultra 2 is also an excellent anti air.


I'm going to get a little rest because I have a bit of a headache, I'll update if I remember anything I've missed out.

That's pretty good when you consider alot of the cast can't do much with EX.

Thanks for the info Mien, i heard a while ago Seth can't ultra while a boom is on screen. But his ultra is still an instant punish though, so it's not all bad... If his new ultra has some special characteristics then it'l probably by the viable selection (Depends how much damage it does to)

Angry scar seems dangerous, does it have I-frames?

But you need EX tanden to continue the combo.

Seth can stilldo alotmorethan most of the cast without EX. & the ones who can do more usually have to rely alot on very specific hitboxes or set ups. But yeah with EX Seth can do some sick stuff ^_^

I'm hoping I can do more at the next event. The last one was fun, but their TVs were by far the worst TVs to demonstrate a fighting game on. You could see the lag, and I confirmed it for myself by moving my stick back and forth. Before we switched all the consoles to 720p it was at least something between 5-10 frames of delay ;_;.

yeah apparently it's HP -> Teleport -> Ultra

Which seems pretty crazy to me :P that a move that looks so bad can have such a useful execution... i mean it doesn't even matter what QCF it is, i imagine you could just mash it out after a HP... dangerous

Replace standing fierce with crouching fierce.There, problem solved.Yes, it's harder to hit confirm into, but still doable after st.jab, j.mk crossup or smthg, demon flip dive kick.

That is the gayest stun animation ever... i guarantee that is gonna hurt me at least once... i am an Akuma player :(

I wonder, does HP xx gadouken also wiff?Will he be the new crouching chun li, where projectiles hit meaty if you cancel a hard normal that doesn't stand up?
