Ah okay, looks like he's just wrestling with the tool-assistance issue. Yeah, it took me a long time to settle on "TACV" but we definitely needed a formal, clear-cut, self-explanatory category for these things.

I don't mind if the pro-vs-con debate continues, because there are several valid concerns to be voiced. For me the important thing was separating the debate from the actual content of the videos, so that the debate doesn't overtake every discussion surrounding every tool-assisted project.

This kind of screenlock glitch is quite common in KoF, to the point where you see it in regular gameplay quite often. Youtube has a few good vids that show what you can do with it (main advantage is reduced pushback). This is a good example -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWM_Fz5B1Q8

maybe useful to get ideas for how it could possibly be applied to other games.

I've thought for a while some kind of mid screen corner combo might be possible in sf4 because of how slow the screen scrolls, someone like vega or blanka who can travel across the screen super quick might be able to set it up

Twelve needs to be rerebalanced. Akuma's new supers are ugly. Everything else is kinda cool. Except the name.

i know this isn't mugen, but it's in the same vein - some of the mugen creators have done some cool things with existing characters, and some of this works, some of it...well, for every smart thing he does (12 has faster pokes) he seems to do 14 LOL supers.

I'm just impressed they were able to do that much with a romhack. Beyond that I don't really care what they do with it. But I still appreciate that "they can".

it's not like there was ever a second strike, it needs to be something like Street Fighter III: 4th down
I like romhacks but this looks really unbalanced, not that that's a bad thing.

I've always liked the GG/BB soundtracks, though as I think I've mentioned, you kind of have to turn off the sound effects/voice samples just to hear them. Question, though: do you enjoy other types of metal, or just when it's set to one of your favorite games?

I use to like metal when I was very young. Now I have to be in the right mood for it, which doesn't happen often. I think video game metal isn't really metal though. And, Valkenhayn's theme really reminds me of Castlevania, so...

Personally I like Makoto's theme (BB makoto that is).

My friend and I were really into metal freshman year, i still listen, but it has yet to re-surge as the dominant musical form on my winamp. my friend once speculated that he probably liked metal from a young age (heavy/power type metal) because of nes/genesis games that had metal-inspired soundtracks. but yeah metal by the japanese for games is a bit different, which is cool. S.S.H. needs to get a contract with some game company, seriously.

I was going to post that vid (the vimeo link, not kotaku), but I see good news travels fast. I simply adore that video. The part at the beginning where you see two guys nodding in unison to something happening on screen. Valle and one of the Cannon's disappointed then jubilant over what I'm assuming is the same match. One guy being greeted turning around and recognising what I want to think is a long lost buddy he hasn't seen since the previous Evo. Beautiful...

Like DSP ( Dark Syde Phil) once said, "how can someone lose to Dan!" Oh man it's so true, i also use him in endless battle once against some people or when new people enter the room.

New MacroLua tutorial. I think it turned out alright. Hm this is one of those things I could keep redoing a million times but I guess it gets the point across for the basic functions.
