The best way to do it would be to have a list with every special move, like the one in my results video. But no way I'm doing something like that again.

I guess what you could do is start with a minimum number, let's say 4. So if anyone submits a combo with 4 Tiger Shots, you accept it. Then you only accept responses that beat the existing record, but the old accepted responses stay. So you would accept 5, and then 6, and so on.

Problem is, sorting through these responses is literally a full-time job for 3-4 days. And if you slack off (or dare to sleep), you end up with twenty Sonic Boom x4 responses piling up that you have to deal with one way or another. If you accept them, then your response list becomes incredibly boring to watch. If you reject them, sad faces all day.

Well, if the combo is done differently but still hits a larger number of times than usual, I think it could be accepted as its own combo. If on the other hand you go with the better combo that responds with MORE of the specified special, then sure, you have a huge job ahead of you. :)

Well, i wouldn't have a huge job ahead of me because i'm not masochistic enough to host a challenge that murky, but you seemed kind of set on doing it so i was just playing along haha.

Hahaha, oh boy...

Well, I was just pitching ideas. :)

Did you happen to think of anything? I'm stumped.

perform a throw at 10% :P

Dan could do it (Without Dizzy i think)

Do a combo of 4 moves or more using only one button.

Haha, I'm guessing macros wouldn't count, right? With Chun thanks to some of the button priorities, I can do j.HK, B+MK, MK, D,U+MK, EX Legs, Ultra...with the all kicks button. Maybe even throw in another EX Legs or EX SBK.

Isn't that open to interpretation? Or at least in need of rules clarification?

Lol yeah i only threw it out there because i realised Cody could do

Jump in MP -> Forward MP -> Stand MP -> Crouch MP -> MP Criminal

also yeah rules would need clarifying, as you can map Focus to one button. That said i don't know what has higher priority, focus or special moves.

Focus > everything but Taunts, Gen's style changes and Dan's super taunt.

^ Thanks, I was wondering about that for awhile (which moves do/don't beat Focus)...I've tried to do Focus ~ Lariat with Zangief too many times, haha..but I suppose I could do EX Running Bear Grab into Lariat, right?

Quite sure lariat is Zangief's lowest priority special move. At least it gets out-prioritized by all EX moves, as I always use the PPP/KKK buttons for those. I think EX RGB only goes to Super and U1.

MMmk, I knew about using it to Ultra, not Super though ('cause the time I was looking at it, they were looking for practical apps)

could you also do Boxer's EX Dash Punch to U2?

aren't all supers > then fa

there is a hierarchy in special moves where some inputs take prescience over others
for example srk motions are higher then qcf, ex versions are higher then regular versions, kick attacks are higher then punch attacks

yeah if you could kara EX Running Bear Grab into Lariat then you couldn't do ex Running Bear Grab with kkk beacuse you would get lariat instead

Stuff like this may vary form character to character though iirc, especially that last one. Iirc, Seth's Tanden outprioritizes the Hyakuretsukyaku. And you forgot Teleports > EX moves.

I think I'm doing another combo challenge soon. Maybe after I finish the "Project." Just one question, if my combo challenge is, "Maximum air time" as in, how long can you keep the opponent in the air, should Akuma's U2 be banned from the challenge? lol

OR, Yun and yang's Supers. I may hold it as a double challenge. One can be "Using yun or yang, what's your opponent's maximum air time?" AND "Without using Yun and Yang, what's your opponent's maximum air time?" And I'll do 2 Drawings again as prizes. :)

That's difficult to judge really, after all Yun & Yang would take it hands down.

Huh? Yang's Super doesn't give him any added juggles. More like the opposite, actually.

lol good point, i've really gotta get to work on disecting them. I know Yun custom combo doesn't offer unlimited juggle as i oringally thought. Not for Forward MK anyway.

PGA?

All i know is this

MP/HP Shoulder -> Super = 6 Forward + MK's 7th whiffs

where-as

super -> Close MK = 7 MK's 8th whiffs

---

This was with one 10 min test though, so i guess it's up for speculation

Do Ultra animations count if the opp doesn't hit the floor during?

I Think Oni's and Akuma's U2 will get you A LOT of time.

Akumas U2 lasts ages, Air Focus to U2 would probably beat most standard combos. i have some ideas with Seth, but if we discount Ultras then Yang will probably take this one fairly easy.

Well, Sure, a launching FA to U2 for akuma counts, but I did change the rule to Longest but most creative combo wins!

Pokey86 wrote:Do Ultra animations count if the opp doesn't hit the floor during?
And no.. Like Ruffian kick to U1, opponent stands during animation. :)

The Dudley combo in my CV is basically a ~16 second juggle, right? I can reupload it by itself for this challenge if you'd like. I'll try to make some more new solutions when I get PC AE.
