"What just happened" reached over 10.000 yesterday. My second video to get over 10.000, but the first one to deserve it. (the other one is just a short clip from SFII V)

Btw, I'm thinking about making a video featuring only combos that has a weird cross-up in them, I already have 4 good ones, if I include my Seth Wall-jump combo. Whan do you think?

The others are:
Fei long on Dan in the corner: Shienkyaku xx FADC -> HK Rekkukyaku (hit 2 and 3 hits cross-up) -> Ultra.
Rufus on Dan, on j.LP in corner: 1 hit j.HK -> 1 hit j.HK (hits in a weird cross-up) -> Super.
C.Viper, Mid-screen on Dan (I think it was). EX Seismo xx SJC xx FADC (under opponent) -> HP TK (Might come up with something better, maybe FADC Ultra that HP TK?)

Or maybe I could just include the Fei one in the sh/f style exhibition if I add HK/EX Rekkukyaku -> s.HP before it or something. Maybe Even FA, Tenshin, s.HP, EX Rekkukyaku, s.HP etc. if it works on Seth/Abel.

Congrats on the 10k, sir. I hope it's the first of many.

So is anyone else having problems with u2b's ratings system? It seems glitchy as hell right now. They show up as blank when a page loads, but hovering over the stars makes it work again. The bigger problem is that sometimes navigating through someone's channel automatically rates random videos 1 star. I'm not even sure what causes it to happen but i think i might have 1-star rated a few random matches last night while looking for examples for a footsies article.

Thanks.

YT is really crappy atm, they always go from good to crappy all the time with their constant updates. For example, the actual video player is very unstable atm, and might freeze up if you try to skip too much, skip to a place close to the ending, or if you pause near the ending, the player thinks the clip is over.

I think the reason it was crappy was because they were changing their video player.

It now allows you to select what resolution you view the video in. So if say there is a 1080p video, you can select to watch it in 360p instead.

Does anyone know how to make sure the video URL links to 1080p?

So according to u2b Insight Statistics, my channel's 545k total views are divided between 89% male and 11% female demographics.

Does that seem right to anyone? 11%?

60,000 (non-unique) women watched my videos? Why are they(s) all so quiet?

... or are they?

Maybe they're watching us right now??

Also, (and i'm only estimating this by looking at a tiny bar graph,) it looks like 100% of my 65+ age demographic is male. Although 1/3 of my 55-64 year old viewer demographic is female.

It really makes you wonder ... what the hell someone is supposed to do with these useless numbers.

More importantly, discovery statistics:

Embedded player = 173,983 (56%)
External links = 44225 (14%)
YouTube other = 22320 (7.2%)
YouTube channel page player = 19012 (6.1%)
Related videos = 15187 (4.9%)
Viral / other = 12868 (4.1%)
YouTube search = 8797 (2.8%)
Mobile devices = 5818 (1.8%)
YouTube subscription modules = 5666 (1.8%)
Google search = 330 (0.11%)

No wonder i only have 21k channel views. 56% of my total is embedded players and those viewers don't even remember the name of the video, much less the name of the channel it was on.

Well, according to Bellreisa's channel, he is a 12 year old Japanese girl. If that tells you anything.

Okay i just figured out what happens. Every time i'm looking through someone's channel, when i type in a search word and then hit Enter on my keyboard, it automatically rates whatever video i'm watching 1 star before bringing up search results. Guess i gotta click the "Search" button from now on. Stupid website.

The thing is, I used the exact same encoding as my "final tidbits" video. Maybe a constant bit rate of 20 000 000 is too much? And it only worked with Final tidbits because it's shorter? Rendering a 10 000 000 bit rate version now.

Yay, I now uploaded a 10 000 000 bit rate version, and it got a whopping 7 seconds shorter...

Now i'm going for a variabel bit rate between 4 000 000 and 10 000 000. If this doesn't work, I don't know what the fuck to do...

Sorry for the multiposts, but I don't really care atm. I'm uploading the video to filefront, so at least you guys can see it. On the YT side, I'm trying to convert it to .wmv and upload it via google chrome.

http://www.filefront.com/15426401/DCCC2.mp4

here it is, but I'll get it to work on YT somehow.

10k is a lot but shouldn't cause any problems. I find sometimes youtube has problems with the mp4 container, I normally stick with mkvs.

Really? It's the exact opposite for me. My Evo Ryu video was originally encoded into MKV container and u2b ran it at half speed. I've never had a problem with MP4 though.

The problem was that the SFIV intro thingy was .MP4, and the rest was .AVI. When I removed it, it runs just fine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dx2NdTiN4Uo

WMV may not be terrible but windows movie maker damn sure is. I really don't understand why it forces videos to be 30fps.

How? I'd be better off uploading in 60 FPS.
