Ok, I've had it with Sony Vegas! It's a good program, but it just doesn't support ANY modern video format. Does anyone know of another program that's easy to use that doesn't just explode from confusion whenever I try to use .mp4, .ts or .M2TS files, OR 1080p?

Adobe Premier is kind of like Final Cut Pro which kinda reminds me of Sony Vegas. So maybe Final Cut, but I think it's only for Macs. Also, are you sure that you don't have to install any codecs specifically for the program? Not just for your PC, but for the program itself.

I've tried looking around, but everywhere I see people with the same problem and no solution.

Does anybody know if there is a way to avoid interleaving when rending video is sony vegas? I have some nice 60 fps video and I want to render it at 30fps for youtube, but I also want to avoid frame interleaving because it looks like shite.

right click clip > properties > disable resampling

that took entirely too long to figure out.

On the note of sony vegas, I finally upgraded from vegas 8 to vegas 11. The difference is like night and day <3.

EDIT: It really is, it can now take many of the files I couldn't take before, but... It also can NOT take any of the rendered versions of said clips that DID work. Because of this, I'm pretty lost if I run into a file I can't run, because I no longer know ho to rerender it to make it work *sigh*

Is it just me, or did this video get some REALLY funky framerate?

Does anybody know of any good programs for rerendering really long video files? I'm making a highlight reel from a friend of mine's stream, and some of those video files get close to the 5h mark. Avidemux can't hande that whatsoever, and Vegas refuses to take the video part of the files no matter how many codecs I install, so I could use some aid.

Mfw vegas decides it hates me and stops working just as I'm starting to edit my latest video. Seriously, I think I've downloaded 5 different versions of vegas now, and nothing works. I've had it, I need some thing else. Anything that's similar, just throw it at me, I can't take this anymore.

I don't know anything about Vegas so i can't tell you what's similar, but i recommend Adobe After Effects. It's solid all-around.

Ok. I actually managed to get control over my vegas situation, but if (when) it fails me again, I'll keep that in mind.
