It'd be great if it didn't tell me my password is wrong, tell me the password retrieval capture is wrong 4-5 times, then finally tell me it sent an e-mail about resetting my password without actually sending any e-mail.

For whatever reason, i think the front page is disconnected from the forum. It'll tell you that you're not logged in but when you click on the forums link it'll show up properly. They changed the old forums.shoryuken.com URL to point to shoryuken.com or whatever, so you have to use the new URL: http://www.shoryuken.com/forum.php

Nevermind, found it.

It has my thread subscriptions in tact, thus I'm fine with it.

Hm, it doesn't automatically log in when i go directly to shoryuken.com/forum.php but it does when i use www.shoryuken.com/forum.php instead. For some reason the "www" makes a difference. If anyone was having the same problem, maybe this will help.

These articles aren't exactly threads, but they talk about threads, and I enjoyed them.

Looks like that's it for HVO (aka HerV aka HigherVoltage). Sad day, but you can't blame the guy. Eleven years is a long time.

You may have read my whining about University Pinball's status here, but I took it to digitpress.com - a site I know to have some experienced people in this field... and of course, the usual amount of morons any large forum will have.

Got some good input, and DAMN anyone who lives near Game Galaxy is lucky. Check out the site, that guy knows what he's doing.

Whoaaa, check out the new SRK! They've got a new ESPN-style layout, a whole MvC3 guide written up already, and a new MvC3 combo video that i haven't gotten a chance to watch yet.

Feels good to see SRK takin' care of business again.

I had a look at the system info videos and a couple of the character guides, really nice! And I had a file open, literally about to start making a basic guide, which I promptly closed and deleted

This was making the rounds a few days ago:

Akira Nishitani Speaks (SF2 Director) on MFG

It's basically a bunch of tweets from Akira Nishitani aka NIN aka 50,000 points - who directed Final Fight and Street Fighter 2 at Capcom before leaving to form Arika, which produced the SFEX series. He shares a lot of random design decisions made while developing SF2. Pretty interesting stuff!

I like how the high damage on dizzied Ryu and juggles on CE Sim were left over experimental stuff that they forgot to remove. And Guy's original name being Gay is just hilarious :)

It's crazy how a lot of those things we thought were oversights were intentional

I wouldn't have guessed that they made blanka ball a vulnerable move beacuse they thought is was too strong.

Yeah, it's pretty awesome to read their rationale behind certain choices. I thought this was an interesting quote:
For years, i've been using those two Honda/Chun examples (plus WW Hurricane Kick) as counter-arguments whenever someone claims that combos were unintentional in SF2. Whether or not the concept of combos was initially accidental, they had to have known about it before SF2 was released. I was glad to see him confirm that they were definitely aware of combos and decided to leave them in SF2.
