For some reason, I dont see the time bar at all when watching a vid. You know, the one where it shows how much has dl'ed while you watching it, usually grey while the red is what you are up to??

Anyways, now if i want to skip through a vid it has to redownload again which is annoying. If i watch a vid outside of youtube thats imbedded in a forum or something, it works fine......

How do I fix?

So I had a meeting with them yesterday. Brandon Thompson and this other guy. Forgot his mane. They set up a Skype Chat meeting with me, and like well, all the other fighting game people who are new. During the meeting they asked what we focus on, as far as our content. And they approached me, because I seem to know all the combo video makers. And they know that. Just as much as they Know error1 knows lots of us. I don't know... Point is, they asked me if I can email them a list of some combo video makers, and tutorial makers. I've yet to do it, but I initially asked them, "Why haven't y'all invited Doopliss?" And they were like, "Who??" And I said, "He goes by Dadoppen on youtube." And they were like, "Hm... I'll check him out."

So, I guess it worked. haha.

I don't know, man, but I think you should do it. They obviously mean well by wanting to help the fighting game community. They are trying to get a big following and plan to expand their reaches to Shoryuken and Eventhubs. They're still new, so they're trying to accumulate more video makers, and until they can supply more than 2 or 3 fighting game videos a week, they'll keep trying to get more people to contribute. I feel it's a good program. And they don't really care about what the content is.

On of the big things they talked to us about is how Fighting games are a lot easier than First person Shooters. Fighting games can produce videos that focus on, commentary, combos, tutorials, entertainment, while FPSs can mostly only do commentary. So they're open to anything.

So... If you guys would like to try it out, let me know, and I can refer them to you. I also told them about wolverine master and Keiko, cause I asked if they'd be willing to accept older fighting=game material. And they got really excited about the idea.

And don't worry, I didn't mention this forum, at all.

I mean, I'll happily join as long as there's no added pressure from them forcing me to put up new material. But thanks to my combo plan for SFxT, that shouldn't be a problem anyways.

I've decided to accept the offer. I realized I'm in need of money, or at least will be in the near future, so an extra income like this would be nice. I guess I'll just upload every major video to machinima, then to my own channel a week later, or something like that. Well, thanks for recommending me to them!

Nah, I'm not much of a talker. I'm planning to make a CV per character for SFxT, so that will keep me occupied for a while. Then we have my trial videos, which i might be able to get out there before SFxT is released.

Maybe this is a silly question, but what are you suppesed to write under "By:" in the contract?

Ok, thanks. There's a lot more legal stuff here than I thought, I dunno if I'm up for this. Especially the music part, will I need to find someone to make music for me? >.< I don't see why I can't simply use the soundtrack from the game I'm recording footage from...

It's hard to believe how ugly and useless the new u2b channel layout is. Why are they so hell-bent on making it harder to find what you want?

Well, anyway, i've converted the ComboVid channel and trying to make the best of it. I added a whole bunch of featured channels in random order (because organizing them seems to be impossible without deleting/re-adding them). I'll probably end up clearing it all out and simplifying the channel as much as possible eventually, but i've wasted enough time on it for one weekend.

Yeah, I'm still stubbornly holding on to my old channel layout, even though they're gonna force me to change it on March 7th. They already messed up the subscriptions on the front page, and now this. I don't know how they pass this stuff off as useful...

I used playlists as feeds for video galleries on a few sites, and they made it impossible to move a video right from one playlist to another. Seems easy enough to just add the video to another playlist, but I was keeping track of videos that got deleted on a private playlist, so I could see what they were and how much they had before getting flagged down without having to log in to other accounts (accounts which may have since been banned anyway).

Anyone else got the new, somehow worse YT home page? I really don't know how subscribers are supposed to see stuff you upload anymore; it's way too inconvenient as you now have to individually select (only show uploads) for each person you're subscribed to, and even then that's a hassle.
