Guile and Dee Jay now get counterhitted if they are hit during their sonic booms' recovery.Alpha style. This oughta be insteresting.

Maybe I can finally get my "CH far s.HP, c.HK, U2" combo with DeeJay to work, counterhit trade ftw.

So, standing jab links to crouching forward, and you can fadc into more rekkas...this should be interesting. Wonder what the stun value is like on the rekkas, and if you can FADC any of the EX versions; since they're kinda like lightning legs, damage scaling shouldn't apply to them (aside from lifebar-based scaling). I'm glad there's an arcade that lets someone do this

If you can FADC the 4th hit of EX rekkas, I have a cool little combo in mind that might work. If not, I'll just use the rose to do an 11-hit rekka combo. 4-hit EX Rekka, rose hit, Hp Rekka X2 xx FADC, 5 hit EX rekka. then maybe a juggle U2 afterwards if possible.

And no, they are nothing like lightning legs, they're like Fei's rekkas, and an EX rekka WILL scale 5 times.

Hmm, well it was 5 commands in 3s. Not sure how they're going to do it in AE.

Well, looking on these japanese movelists:
(3回まで連続入力可能) <- This is after Fei's Rekkas.
(3回まで連続入力可能) <- Also after Yangs Rekkas.
(5回まで連続入力可能) <- This is after Yang's EX Rekkas.

So it will most likely be 5 separate inputs. People have already said that the damage on EX rekka is kind of crappy.

Ugh, and I even put it on the article, you're right - it says "5 successive inputs are possible". So the inputs are like 3s, you need a QCF for each one.

Yang's last hit of EX rekkas causes float knockdown lol nice.I guess you can ultra after, but it's gonna get scaled to hell and back.Twice.

Oh, that's even better than I expected. got any video of it? The thing that is great about these multi-scale moves is that they can allow you to do crazy stuff after it without it being broken.

EDIT: nevermind, I saw it now. Yes, both ultras should connect after that easily. Kind of dangerous if you can make the opponent do something other than blocking the 5th hit, maybe you grab them after the 4th hit instead sometimes.

^ Hmmm...that looks sadly stupid, but I wonder if it can lead to any silly combos that break the cinematic ultra. Considering how ugly it is (I mean Chun is even slightly tilted during the final thrust kick upwards, since the view was at the same angle) and how much recovery there is, I would imagine they'll patch this out. And by the way - is that actually original content from EventHubs? If so, good for them, but I'm more inclined to believe it's by some random dude. Evidently Nyoronoru or whatever goes to my arcade, but we only got the cab in yesterday from what I'm hearing - I'm still at my parents' house for the holiday season, but when I get back down to Philadelphia I'll let you guys know about oddities/combo-related stuff...I'm no strategy expert, but I do like me some arcade Gief (can't really stand home sticks).

Also, on Gouken:
Hiropon: You can also cancel jumping MP into Air Hurricane, and if you do the roundhouse version, the last hit takes them really far. Maybe not full screen, but it’s annoying enough.
This will be interesting...he also said that ground EX Tatsu locks them in, so it's a viable AA, but I wonder if they made aerial EX Tatsu the same or at least somewhat useful.

He got all those video clips from some Japanese website and just glued them together. I think the source is 4Gamer? He didn't even bother to mention that in the video.

apparently it works because her dash is faster and her FA does not send them into an air state. Desora posted this on his twitter... and he thinks that Gouken may have the same kind of loop combo. lol

doesn't send them to air state, that suck... her focus to air combos was one of the things i liked most about her.

---

it's hardly broken, if it's easy sure, but 5 focuses & you're down to 8 points of damage per hit.

I hope someone is just confusing a lv3 fa - lv2 fa,
if lv2 fa don't cause a float state on crumpled characters then there are going to be a bunch of people who can do this

I guess they mean that, with her new dash, she is able to string together an infinite amount of lvl.2 FAs, because she can connect with it before the opponent counts as airborne, not that they have altered her FA mechanics.

I'll believe it when I see it, but even if they only make her dash 1 frame faster she will have the fastest combined dash+lv2 focus time, so there is some truth to it.

Well, they did make her dash faster... fast enough to do FADC combos with Hayate apparently.

it's a bit crass of me to say but, crumplelevel 2 isn't float state, it's airborne state :P

he meant "hitting an airborne opponent with lvl.2 FA causes float". Because it does, right?
