It's a good subject to bring up, Toxy. Rap music, in general, has had very little success in Combo Videos. In fact, one of the only examples of it working was an old Ryu 2nd Impact video from long long long long long ago by Fighters.net, but it was such an old school song. I've seen rap used in many...

That 3S Combo Video is interesting. Some of the Combos he does are practically carbon copies of stuff one of the Japanese guys has done before in his video... RX was it? I can't remember which one. I just know that the Yang Combo he does is almost part for part the exact same combo, as is the Yun vs...

Very nice. I really liked the combo Magnetro made. It's a pretty intricately crafted combo and he managed to get those Shockwaves in there by rather unconventional means. I do have a question, though, regarding that combo and the 6 Shockwaves Combo... is there any way to have Magneto wedge himself i...

Wrectangles by David Boudreau
Hey, guys. David Boudreau, a long time SF fan (he was prominent during the agsf2 days) wrote a little application that he wanted me to check out and play with. It's an interesting tool that basically lets you create "hit boxes" on an existing video clip. You don't actually create a new vid...

I think fullmetalross is on to something about the picky hit boxes in 3rd Strike. The hit boxes are waaaaay more complicated than just squares in that game for every animation frame, so I suspect that Frame Data is just a lot harder to calculate. I mean, when Chun's Super can hit Makoto a few times ...

Was it called Magic Series in COTA officially? I could have sworn it was a term that Tom Cannon coined on agsf2 when the game first came out. I used it in my COTA Combo FAQ long ago and credited it to him, I believe. There are definitely many many many different types of Chains even within just the ...

Yeah, for some reason, I think they were just called Target Combos for 3rd Strike. I've always just assumed that's just what Chain Combos were called in Third Strike. That game seems to get to use all sorts of random names. I mean, after playing so much Vampire, I'd've expected Enhanced Specials to ...

Welcome, ZenFire! Welcome, middlekick! Welcom felineki! Glad to see you all here. And I think I know this Mike Z guy. ^_^ I think we spent a good amount of time copying each other's SonSon Combos early in MvC2 Combo Video lore. By the way, felineki.... I think you were the one who was amassing the V...

Yeah, people seem to forget that Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan both cheated on their wives, too. I mean, they both are still paragons of personality and lovability in the sport of basketball. Kobe doesn't get that benefit just 'cause the man does not have a sense of humor gene in his body. Famous...

Sorry, I should probably have elaborated that about talking smack about EX3. ^_^ Sounds really mean the way I put it. Basically, it kinda began with EX1. My friends and I all played that over a weekend, with the specific goal of getting all the endings. And the endings for EX1 were all pretty ridicu...

Yeah, Proximity Cancels is the right terminology you were using, but Derek has since said to me that he wishes that term would go away because they named it that on a perception that didn't exist. ^_^ And as far as I can tell, that's the difference between Renda Kara Cancels and just plain ol' Kara ...

It's funny, 'cause as much as I myself have talked smack about SFEX3 with friends, I can't help but to think it looks strangely appealing everytime I watch it. It feels like the game has a lot of untapped potential. What level do you think the players in those videos were at? I've only watched a par...

Proximity Cancels have existed in other games, definitely. But... first thing's first. Let's not call them Proximity Cancels anymore. Renda Kara Cancels, I think, is the current term for it. ^_^ The reason it used to be called Proximity Cancels is because, when Derek Daniels and John Choi first star...

I'd like to see the Combos unedited, just 'cause I don't know the game well enough, so sometimes I get confused on which combo is which. ^_^ But as an edit, it's an awesome idea, and probably an idea that can only be carried out on certain games (EX3, MvC2, maybe Guilty Gear... anything with loooong...
