Re: Interesting Threads on Other Forums
I like how the high damage on dizzied Ryu and juggles on CE Sim were left over experimental stuff that they forgot to remove. And Guy's original name being Gay is just hilarious

Re: Side Projects aka plug whatever you want
I recently came out as transgender at the start of the year, after struggling with the issue internally for ~10 years. I've been trying to rebuild my identity and reconnect with society in a positive way after being a self-destructive nihilist for most of my life. The past month has been the greate...

I'm like a day ahead of most of you and it feels too early for happy new years :P Happy new year anyway! (Have you guys started drinking already?!) I'm still slowly collecting combos from tonnes of games. Filling up a notebook then recording everything. At that point I might start making tutorials o...

Re: Capturing PS2 games in 60 FPS?
If you have a really good computer you can run the games through PCSX2, and boost the internal resolution + frame rate. Then you won't have to worry about deinterlacing. Honestly a lot of PS2 games running on PCSX2 look better than 360/PS3 games to me.

Were you using Cole or Drake? It was hard to tell from the commentary cos they said you were using both in the 1v1.

Re: SF4 Biweekly TACV Series
sf4 is more straight forward, it has rectangles that are glued to parts of a skeleton. And just procedurally generates hittable boxes when not manually defined. It means that as long as the skeleton is moving, the hitbox is changing every frame. That's pretty much what i was trying to say but i sai...

Re: SF4 Biweekly TACV Series
Ahh, OK, I see what you mean. Is that similar to how 3S had those super-dynamic hitboxes? It's a bit different. Like in animation, you might have 2 positions or keyframes, and then "tween" or automatically determine the animation frames between those 2 positions over a set amount of time,...

Re: Backing Up Old Projects
At some point I'm probably gonna get a NAS and just access everything from there. And have the NAS in some sort of RAID array with backups. Haven't looked too deeply into it yet, but they don't seem too expensive really. The main thing would be just having another thing drawing electricity constantl...

Re: SF4 Biweekly TACV Series
Fair enough. I think there's probably more people who'd want to see it, as people don't always comment on everything, especially if a couple of people have already said "cool vid" or whatever and nobody has any specific questions. Up to you how you want to share your videos tho of course.

Another encoder i used to use is mediacoder. I liked everything about it, except it kept crashing when i'd encode massive files from after effects. Anything under 1GB should be fine though i think.

Yeah I've seen just in TV shows, there's apparently a lot of Mexicans hanging around home depots looking for work, so people will come in with pickup trucks, grab a few workers, and go do landscaping or whatever. Grab some high level KoF players while you're there! Sort of thing

So hitting sim's limbs with a launcher to send him higher in the air removes all juggle capability. Basically, even as anti air, or on counter hit, if you hit an opponent with a launcher while they're in the air. Not even like a super or something. nothing seems to restart jp. On a good note, I fou...

Unfortunately it doesn't work with dizzy combos, and they have completely different rules for what juggles and what doesn't.

All i've heard is that complexity fired him for being stoned at final round, and there's videos up where he does look pretty smashed, and that would also fit with the "fuck you's" if someone ratted him out, but apparently complexity denied firing him. edit: just saw the tweet from complexi...

I vaguely remember trying something like this a long time ago, but then quickly gave up because HK>demon didn't work. Not sure if there's any other solutions aside from the whatever into HK>demon then uppercut super.

Re: Can Akuma connect HK>Raging Demon in console version of
Ah wait if you whiff the 1st hit then KKZ does 9 hits and keeps them grounded, yeah I think this combo should work. I just gave it a shot, it's tricky to set up the spacing. Basically Akuma has to be some distance away from Urien to get the 9 hit KKZ, which means you don't have a lot of space to set...
