MatchVid of the Day: ComboFiend vs Justin Wong (SF4)

Here’s a Rufus vs Cammy rushdown match for you guys, because Street Fighter isn’t all about Shotos and fireball zoning, right? Both finalists played sharp and either one could’ve won it all.

players: Peter “ComboFiend” Rosas (Cammy) vs Justin Wong (Rufus)

observations:
These matches are worth watching for the jchensor commentary alone. He mains Cammy, so everything he says about the action is backed by a wealth of knowledge and experience. And i have to say, angry ComboFiend is a lot of fun to watch. He makes a few dumb mistakes in the first match (1:35, 2:18, 2:25) and comes back with a vengeance in the second match! That whole round starting at 2:38 is vicious, and he makes an excellent read at 5:26. But Justin maintains composure through it all and adjusts enough to pull it out in the end.

game: Street Fighter IV (Console)

venue: Level|Up Series D&B Event – Grand Finals, Set 2

i dont know why, but i laughed a little when jchensor was like “you can ultra that!” in response to jwong doing messiah->follow up->FADC backdash. anyway, it never ceases to amaze me how dangerous some players make cammy look. she’s pretty average on paper, but you actually get her going and she’s tough to stop.
