I still can’t believe this game exists, but it’s a great candidate for the oddball combovid of the day. It starts by briefly explaining the combo system, makes its way through the entire cast of ClayFighter Tournament Edition, then shows off a few C-2: Judgement Clay dizzy combos.

I remember the magazine ads for these games, but never actually tried playing them. I’ve gotta say, they look pretty terrible in these videos. I can’t imagine a game this choppy being fun. But the video itself is entertaining.
My only complaint is that the cuts between combos aren’t clear enough, so at first it’s hard to tell when one combo ends and the next one begins. (The utterly broken combo system may have something to do with that as well.)
Also i have no idea if this is tool-assisted or manually executed, so i’m gonna leave that alone. It looks like it’s recorded from an emulator so it could be either.
I’m thinking about doing some touch ups to the vid. Clearer transitions, and fixing. Except that would be kinda boring, so I’m going to be adding more clips to it.

Is this tool-assisted or all manually executed? Do you prefer Zool or zool? Everything was upper case in the video so i had to guess.

Oh it’s not necessary to mention me. I already get mentioned in enough videos just for being around.
As for suggestions, the only thing i can think of is that it’s kind of unsatisfying how all the C2 combos stop halfway. It would be cool if there was at least one combo that did 100% damage. You can show it at the very end if you want, after all the credits.

Good Lord… This is both (semi-)nostalgic and hilarious. I remember loving ClayFighter 63 1/3 (with Michael Buffer as announcer and several of the VAs from Animaniacs). I still pull it up emulated from time to time.
And to think, there were plans to make another one of these…
My favorite bits were the Taffy and Blue Suede Goo sections (must’ve been the music), Blob knocking Frosty into a fireball (clayball?) at 7:50 and the “Small Characters” section.
