The End of the Line CMV by Ultracombos

Evidently this is Brazilian combo maker Maiden Masher’s farewell video. Featuring a wide variety of classic and new fighting games, it’s a pretty nice way to say goodbye to the scene.

highlights:
KoF98 Saisyu quintuple super at 1:34, KoF2k1 Athena absurdity at 2:08, KoF2k2 Kula fullscreen reflect madness at 2:57, MotW Gato corner juggle at 5:05, MotW Kain bringing the pain at 6:58, and GF Tessa item arsenal clearance at 7:10

Impresive amount of games shown in this CMV, and really good use of bugs, set-ups, etc, all with a nice edition work. Loved the Dragon WH2 Deathmatch combo. Many great ideas and concepts that show deep knowledge of each gameĀ“s engine. Great.

I still think this video would’ve been stronger overall if some of the generic Capcom stuff had been left out (especially the routine MvC3 stuff), but i’m making this the Vid of Week for 04.11.2011 anyway!

In my opinion you are actually the best of capcom… I’d like to know about your opinion about capcom stuff… SuperGem fighter I loved it, and dhalsin combo too…

What did you see wrong in another capcom stuffs?

      Thanks

Haha thanks, but i’m not the best. Anyway it’s just really difficult to come up with anything new in old Capcom games. It can be done, but you have to know the game and its combo history very well. Simply using tool-assistance isn’t enough.

For example at 1:08, that whole WW Ryu setup is basically unnecessary. You can already combo two fireballs with a simple corner meaty setup (like the ending). So that whole clip isn’t really showing me anything.

Dhalsim at 3:57 starts with a combo people use in matches, and the last part is kinda cool but definitely nothing new.

The really bad part was the MvC3 combos at 5:45. Showing pure DHC combos is a waste of time. That’s all day-one stuff that nobody cares about. When you do basic combo xx super super super until you run out of meter with a basic transition in the middle to DHC more, it’s the same thing as using KoF2k Joe assist to combo 5 supers.

Does that make sense? I just think the video would’ve been better if you didn’t include these MvC3 combos, but it’s still a good video.

Slam Masters at 4:25 and Gem Fighter at 7:11 were cool though. Final Fight clip at the end was kind of cool too, but maybe too long.
