CvS2 EX-Groove Exhibitions by Combonauts

Here’s another excellent Capcom vs SNK 2 EX-Groove combo video, split up into three volumes. The first one focuses on K-Groove damage, the second expands to C-Groove and N-Groove, and the third one contains dizzy combos – most of which end up dealing 100% damage.

highlights:
CvS2 EX-Athena juggle at 3:12 in Vol.1, EX-Morrigan air chains at 5:36 in Vol.1, EX-Sagat midscreen juggle at 3:17 in Vol.2, EX-Benimaru corner juggle at 5:35 in Vol.2, EX-Sakura dizzy combo at 2:40 in Vol.3, and EX-Kyosuke infinite at 5:11 in Vol.3

combos and editing by Tigre III and Krusan (collectively Combonauts)

I was interested at watching the Stun combos. However, I expected them to be more creative and not rely mostly on 60-pt stun characters. I mean, with the ability to literally spam as many hits as you can before doing a Super Combo I’d have liked to see more combos done on 70-pt and 80-pt stun characters.

Anyway, it was refreshing to see Ex-groove combos.

There’s no question they could’ve done more, but it’s not nearly as easy as it seems. If you look at SAW’s EXCvS2 Combo video, you can see that performing an EX-Groove chain negates dizzy values for everything following it until you reach neutral state.

Check out EX-Kim at 0:48 doing 15,372 damage with only 3 dizzy points because he started the combo with a c.LK -> c.MK chain. So yeah, spam isn’t the answer.

How could I miss that? *slaps head*

I had it coming for never having done any serious testing on Ex-grooves mechanics. :p
